The Service Contracting Program is an initiative program of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) that is tailored to financially support public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators through performance based-incentives. Under this program, drivers and operators will be paid based on the maximum number of trips that they have made per week with or without passengers. Last March 21, 2022, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released a 7-billion-peso budget to the Department of Transportation (DoTr) for the phase 3 of the Service Contracting Program.
